Nubank partners with Cardamon for global regulatory compliance

Nubank has partnered with Cardamon to support its global compliance specialists with AI-powered regulatory tools.

Nubank has selected Cardamon to enhance its regulatory compliance capabilities using AI. The partnership brings digital teammates to Nubank’s global team of compliance specialists, supporting the people responsible for understanding what regulation means for the business.

Following the selection earlier in 2026, Cardamon’s platform was deployed across all jurisdictions in which Nubank operated at the time of the October announcement. The partnership is designed to support the team as Nubank expands globally, enters new markets and launches new products.

Why firms like Nubank choose Cardamon

For compliance leaders at banks and fintechs growing across markets, the partnership shows what this work looks like at scale.

  • Accelerate global expansion. Entering a new market starts with working out which rules apply to the business. Cardamon helps compliance teams understand a new jurisdiction’s requirements in relation to their own activities, products and controls.

  • Move faster, and more confidently, through complex regulation. Speed matters most when every answer can be traced to its source and approved by a specialist. Source references, reasoning and an audit trail stay attached to the work.

  • Move beyond spreadsheets and manual processes. Mapping obligations by hand turns every regulatory update into a fresh round of work. Cardamon’s obligation mapping structures the source material and keeps the review history, so teams build on previous work instead of starting again.

  • Go beyond assessing the fit. Gap analysis connects obligations to the policies and controls that address them, highlights the gaps and suggests remediations, so the next step is work for the team rather than a finding in a document.

The institution behind the announcement

Nu reported more than 140 million customers in Latin America in September 2026. That scale gives the partnership its context: regulatory work sits alongside a financial-services business serving people across markets, with products and customer needs that continue to evolve.

In the same month, Nu announced its US launch and introduced Nu Global, a multicurrency account. Those announcements illustrate the breadth of a business expanding its products and reach. The Cardamon partnership has its own stated objective: support the global compliance team as Nubank enters new markets and launches new products.

Partnering with Cardamon allows us to enhance our regulatory capabilities, streamline complex compliance processes and empower our teams with intelligent tools that support faster and more informed decision-making. We are excited about what we can achieve together as we continue building a world-class compliance organisation.

The work behind global compliance

Regulation is local, even when a business is global. Requirements can address similar risks while differing in wording, scope and expectations. A rule also needs to be understood in relation to the activities, entities and products it governs. Reading the source is the start of that work, not its conclusion.

Regulatory mapping connects those requirements to a firm’s own context. Teams need to establish which obligations apply, understand the reasoning behind an interpretation, and relate the requirement to the policies and controls that address it. When the source changes, those relationships matter again.

A foundation for the next stage

The announced goal is to support Nubank’s compliance team as the institution enters new markets and launches new products. Amanda’s words describe the ambition clearly: intelligent tools that enhance regulatory capabilities and support faster, more informed decision-making.

We’re proud to support Nubank’s global compliance team, and grateful for their trust. We look forward to what we can build together.
